Microsoft Teams – *Post updated 27.4.20*

Hello everyone,

The votes are in and you have chosen to move from the Glow Mail group to Microsoft Teams.  I know that some of you have already been able to access this but here are some instructions if this is your first time –

If  you do not know anything about Microsoft Teams, it is basically a ‘real-time’ chat service.  It makes it possible for us all to have a conversation, anytime we want.  I will be online every week day and can read about what you have been up to.  You will be able to share photos with the class (perfect for getting on to the wall of fame).  I will be able to set assignments which link to your daily learning videos.

Mrs Winning, Miss McLellan and Mrs Curran are also team members so they might pop into our chat to say hello and see what you have been up to.

I will continue to put tasks and things on the BLOG, if you want to keep using only the BLOG or my email to communicate, that is totally up to you.

Now, the important bit. How to find our P6/7 team.

When you open GLOW, you are on an area called a ‘Launch Pad’.

Go to the top of the page and click on the ‘App Library’.

Search ‘Microsoft Teams’ in the search bar at the top right of the page.

Click the Teams icon and select ‘Add to my launch pad.’

Once you click on the link, it should take you to our team right away. I have given the authority for all of you to have access.

It is also possible to download the teams desktop app to your computer or the app to your tablet/phone.  Personally I find that using the app is much easier!

If the app asks you for login details you need to use your glow email address.  This is your glow username + @glow.sch.uk.  The password is just your glow password.

When you manage to login please say hello so that I know you made it!
