P6/5 have been learning about French Artists with Mrs Lockhart.  The children have created paintings of the Eiffel Tower using pointillism in the style of Georges Seurat. 

The children have been working with 6 and 7 digit numbers.  They have been adding/subtracting multiples of 10, rounding larger numbers to the nearest ten, hundred, thousand and million.

This week we are designing a French menu, full of authentically French starters, main courses and desserts for Miss Steel to order from. Non a l’escargot, merci!      

Within reading the children are gaining more experience of reading several chapters in one sitting.  In term 1 the children have been reading Titanic: Death on the Water by Tom and Tony Bradman.
