A humorous poem about a fat cat.
There once was a tabby cat
Who was really, really fat.
He was brown and cute and little bit chunky.
His owners loved him lots and named him Bunky.
Stout, legs and a body that was dumpy.
Despite his beautiful coat he always felt frumpy.
Bunky didn’t like to climb or run.
Instead he lazed quietly in the sun.
Calm, loving and very, very kind.
Fluffy, long whiskers and a really big behind.
His favourite food was tuna ‘Fancy Feast’.
But because he ate 2 tins a day.
He had become quite a chubby beast.
One day he heard his owner say.
“Bunky you need to go on a diet.”
She put down different cat food.
But he didn’t want to try it.
His tummy grumbled loudly.
But he turned his nose up proudly.
“I don’t want to get thinner.”
“I am happy being a greedy sinner.”
He didn’t eat for one whole day,
His owner looked worried and started to say…
“Bunky you’re a lovely beast
Lets go back to the food called ‘fancy feast’ “
Bunky was happy as a pig in mud.
After his dinner fell into bed with a thud.
He still is big, chubby and plump,
But he is very much loved – that Bunky cat lump
