Maths – Chance & Uncertainty – WB. 1/6…

Hello P5/4,

These tasks should be worked on for the next few weeks – do not strive to complete them all this week.

Chance & Uncertainty or Probability is all about how likely something will happen. If something has a low probability then it is unlikely to happen, e.g. Miss Girvan becoming a mermaid! If something has a high probability it means that it is very likely to happen, e.g. tomorrow will be the 2nd of June.

You can learn more about Probability or Chance at the following link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zx9k7ty/articles/zqpxmnb

The first set of activities are for you P4s, as you are working on First Level, however, they are good revision for you too P5s before moving on to the next set of tasks below. Primary 4s if you would like to challenge your learning you can attempt the Second Level tasks too…

Remember to keep up your mental math practise on Sumdog – I will be rewarding those, again who at the end of the week, have spent the most time online and have the highest scores…

Good luck!
