Miss Girvan is very proud of our class reaching 75 tokens today!

We will decide on our treat after Christmas time giving us something to look forward to in January!

Just some of our great pieces of descriptive writing by HM, CH, Emma R, Adam, Jack, Scarlett, Daniel and Amber.

We used our senses to describe how we would feel and what we would see if we lived inside a Snowglobe.

We transformed ourselves into mini Olafs’ for our hall display!

We gave ourselves some carrot noses and even found real twigs in the playground for our arms!

We think you’ll agree that our Olafs’ are definitely worth melting for!!

Today we made our own movable Pudsey bears for Children in Need.

We know that there are many children who are not as fortunate as us and need charities like Children in Needs help.

We have been exploring the properties of 2D shapes this week.

We know their names, how many corners they have and how many sides they have.

“I learned a new 2D shape – it is called a parallelogram.” – Jack

“A Hexagon has 6 corners and 6 sides” – Eva

“A new shape I learned was an Octagon and I remember how many sides it has because I think of an Octopus and its 8 legs!” – Jarvis

We started our new topic this week – The Human Body.

We told Miss Girvan what we already knew and what we wanted to find out during our new topic.

“I know that your knee is a joint.” – Daniel

“I know that the skull protects your brain.” – Abby

“I know that our brain controls our thoughts.” – Adam

“I would like to learn how our eyes work.” – Emma L.

“I would like to learn what our ribcage protects.” – Katie

Today we participated in a 2 minutes silence for Remembrance.

We told Miss Girvan what we knew about Remembrance:

“We remember the soldiers who have died.” – Aiden

“We have a two minute silence at 11am.” – Amber

“We wear poppies to remember them.” – Daniel

“Remembrance takes place on the 11th day of the 11th month.” – Robyn

We created our own drawings of Flanders Fields.

We had a lovely end to our week with our Token reward!

Primary 3 chose to wear their PJs and watch Boss Baby!

We can’t wait for our next token reward but need to earn 75 tokens first!

We had great fun on Tuesday 31st October celebrating Halloween and taking part in the Ladywell Halloween Parade!

Miss Girvan thought our costumes were fantastic and it was really difficult to pick just 2 winners!

We enjoyed making Halloween crafts, dooking for apples and eating our treats!

It was a fantastic Friday for our class today!

We reached our first token reward after earning 50 tokens around school and in the playground from members of staff!

We were also awarded the Class of the Week trophy for primaries 1-3!

Miss Girvan is a VERY happy teacher!
