As we go into the Spring Break we will take a break from posting new learning ideas. We would like you to have as an enjoyable and relaxing break as you and your family can whilst staying safe. We’re sure you are already being as kind as you possibly can to everyone in your house but here are some other ideas from the Red Cross. Previously we have taken part in their Kindness Advent and this follows the same theme. Below are links to a blank kindness calendar, a kindness booklet and some activity ideas. We’ve also attached a link to the Red Cross website where you can get more information. Remember to make sure an adult is aware of your plans and stay safe at all times.
Have a go at some of these space tasks and post a picture of your work on here in our Microsoft Team on Glow. If you are in the picture then please just post those in our Microsoft Team as it is private. The Eatwell plate is included to help you remember the parts of a healthy meal.
This video is great as it shows you just how difficult it is to eat in Space. Chris Hadfield is the Canadian astronaut who wrote the book, ‘The Darkest Dark’ that we read in class.
We hope you are managing to keep yourselves busy and active. Has anyone managed to make a rocket yet? I (Mrs Carton) had a go at this challenge with my 2 children who are 3 and 5, there wasn’t too much mess! We used empty juice bottles, yoghurt tubs, paint and sellotape and they looked pretty good! I’ll try and upload a photo soon to let you all see. We’ve added some maths word problems to get you thinking this week. Try using objects from around the house or draw a picture to help you solve them.
