Today Primary 2 were working on some Active tasks during maths.<\/p>\n
We had spooky spider plates with numbers on them. We had to find the matching ‘addition spiders’ by working on our mental addition strategies.<\/p>\n
One group had to roll 2 dice and and add the dots, then build a tower that matched their answer.<\/p>\n
Some children had a target number and had to problem solve lots of questions about that number.<\/p>\n
Another group had to complete adding sums and match them to the right column on a board that had the choices ‘more than’ ‘less than’ and ‘the same as’.<\/p>\n
