A special congratulations to the following children who made it into the top 16 of their category:<\/p>\n<p>Rose Downs \u2013 4<sup>th<\/sup> place in P4 girls<\/p>\n<p>Nadia Wegrzyn \u2013 8<sup>th<\/sup> place in P4 girls<\/p>\n<p>Noah Ferrie \u2013 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in P4 boys<\/p>\n<p>Nathan Owen \u2013 11<sup>th<\/sup> place in P4 boys<\/p>\n<p>Freddie Mushet \u2013 11<sup>th<\/sup> place in P5 boys<\/p>\n<p>Ava Rose Kearney \u2013 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in P5 girls<\/p>\n<p>Myla Crainey \u2013 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place in P5 girls<\/p>\n<p>Sofia Savage \u2013 4<sup>th<\/sup> place in P5 girls<\/p>\n<p>Freya McKenna \u2013 15<sup>th<\/sup> place in P5 girls<\/p>\n<p>Elysse Gustinelli \u2013 16<sup>th<\/sup> in P5 girls<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Igunma \u2013 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in P6 girls<\/p>\n<p>Lucy Brownlie \u2013 4<sup>th<\/sup> place in P6 girls<\/p>\n<p>Ninna Okwor \u2013 13<sup>th<\/sup> place in P6 girls<\/p>\n<p>Farmil Gomez \u2013 4<sup>th<\/sup> place in P7 boys<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to the Carfin Choristers, our Altar Servers and the children who participated in the offertory on Sunday at mass for Catholic Education Week.\u00a0 We are so proud of you and the special commitment you show to our catholic faith.<\/p>\n<p>Looking towards next week, the P7s will perform a Christmas song which will be recorded for the Regent Choir Shopping Centre competition.\u00a0 It will soon be time to vote and we need all the votes we can get as we would like to improve on last year\u2019s position, 8<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Good luck, P7.<\/p>\n<p>The Parent Council will hold a face to face meeting in the school at 6pm.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday we will have a special assembly where the children will participate in the National Discussion for Education.\u00a0 This is a unique opportunity for everyone involved in education to have their say.\u00a0 To find out more visit <a href=\"https:\/\/consult.gov.scot\/national-discussion-scottish-education\/\">https:\/\/consult.gov.scot\/national-discussion-scottish-education\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We will also have our Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday, where the children will come together to enjoy a croissant and a drink whilst offering our prayers and learning a little bit more about Catholic Education Week.<\/p>\n<p>There is possible industrial action on Thursday, as the teachers of Scotland negotiate pay.\u00a0 This may mean the school will be closed to pupils, however the nursery will remain open.\u00a0 We will keep you up to date with this, please check Twitter for these updates.<\/p>\n<p>The Annual Education Mass will held in the Cathedral at 7pm on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday we will resume our Annual Day of Dance.\u00a0 This is a fun filled day, where parents\/carers are invited to the school to watch the children perform traditional Scottish dances, a special \u2018strictly\u2019 dance and the unique and wonderful OLSF Hoolie (please join in).\u00a0 Parents\/Carers are also welcome to have a tea\/coffee before or after the performances.\u00a0 We ask for a small donation on this day to help raise funds for Expressive Arts in OLSF.\u00a0 The times for class are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>P6a and P6b &#8211;
