Mission Rationale<\/span><\/h6>\n

Our Lady\u2019s High School is a Roman Catholic Secondary school. Our patroness, Mary, is the role model for our community, through her we come to know her Son better leading us to embrace the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and to serve the needs of our community.<\/p>\n

Our Lady\u2019s High School is an inclusive school open and welcome to all. Fundamental to this is the belief that all are created in the \u2018Image and Likeness of God\u2019 (Genesis 1:26). Members of this community are not seen as labels but instead are afforded the dignity and respect of being a child of God. All of our young people will be supported to recognise and meet their potential.<\/p>\n

Our mission is to develop and help our pupils on their life long journey to become engaged in society, involved in their learning and to recognise that they are the citizens of today \u2013 not just the citizens of tomorrow. We want our pupils to learn from their life experiences, both good and bad, and to foster a \u2018Growth Mindset\u2019.<\/p>\n

Our mission is to grow in knowledge of God and of one another, to nurture the unique and intrinsic value of each person recognising that everyone is different and with these differences we all play a part in building the body of our school community.<\/p>\n

Everyone is welcome and we will cherish each person\u2019s individuality and each person\u2019s gifts and potential.<\/p>\n

Our actions should be selfless and with a focus on service to others<\/p>\n

To embed the Catholic faith across all aspects of the school community, allowing opportunities for faith into action.<\/p>\n

To provide the highest possible quality of learning and teaching where we foster high aspirations and determination in our students, and encourage them to be high achievers in all aspects of their learning.<\/p>\n

To build a sense of achievement where pupils will learn the lifelong skills to help them both now and for the future, to assist with the transition to an appropriate and positive destination.<\/p>\n

To help our pupils realise the dignity of work, that work is integral to our human nature and should be for the benefit of all, not the few.<\/p>\n
