J.K. Rowling does this a lot with names e.g. the Divination teacher, Professor Sibyl Trelawney, shares her first name with the ancient Greek female prophets called sibyls. As punishment he is sent to Camp Green Lake Juvenile Detention Centre, where all the boys have to do is dig a hole every day. But the boys don&#8217;t know the reason for all the digging.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/opac.ea.n-lanark.sch.uk\/ORL01\/?serviceId=ExternalEvent&amp;brSn=3514&amp;brKey=1386516701\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Library copy available<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Count of Monte Cristo<\/em> by Alexandre Dumas is one of the most famous books about prisoners ever written. Terry Pratchett based his story\u00a0 on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.poetryfoundation.org\/poems\/45818\/the-pied-piper-of-hamelin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Pied Piper of Hamelin<\/em><\/a>, a famous poem by Robert Browning. But this story is even older and might even be based on a true story. Try <a href=\"https:\/\/www.florisbooks.co.uk\/book\/Alex-Nye\/Chill\/9781782501497\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Chill<\/em> <\/a>by <a href=\"https:\/\/alexnyewriter.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex Nye<\/a>, a story of betrayal in a haunted house in Scotland. <a href=\"http:\/\/opac.ea.n-lanark.sch.uk\/ORL01\/?serviceId=ExternalEvent&amp;brSn=9554&amp;brKey=360737763\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Library copy available<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.penguin.co.uk\/books\/1111921\/the-haunting-of-jessop-rise\/9781783444618.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The haunting of Jessop Rise<\/em><\/a> by Danny Weston is another haunted house story set in 19th century Wales, when a young boy goes to live with his miserly uncle. <a href=\"http:\/\/opac.ea.n-lanark.sch.uk\/ORL01\/?serviceId=ExternalEvent&amp;brSn=9442&amp;brKey=888081134\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Library copy available<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Marauder&#8217;s Map is important in this book. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booktrust.org.uk\/book\/t\/the-girl-of-ink-and-stars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The girl of ink and stars<\/em><\/a> by Kiran Millwood Hargrave is another story based on an old map involving\u00a0 mysterious creatures, danger and adventures.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #333300\"><em>Numeracy<\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Harry sees the new Firebolt broom for sale in Diagon Alley. He would love to buy one and he thinks he can afford it, but he decides to keep his money.<\/p>\n<p>Is this a good decision?<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #333300\"><em>Health and Wellbeing<\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>J.K.
