{"id":1781,"date":"2018-09-07T08:12:28","date_gmt":"2018-09-07T08:12:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/olhscumbernauld\/?p=1781"},"modified":"2018-09-07T08:12:28","modified_gmt":"2018-09-07T08:12:28","slug":"success-in-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/olhscumbernauld\/2018\/09\/07\/success-in-music\/","title":{"rendered":"Success in Music"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Success in Music<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">A number of pupils have recently gained success in music.\u00a0<strong>Finn McKellar<\/strong>\u00a0from S3 (Trombone),\u00a0<strong>Harris Carberry<\/strong>\u00a0from S2 (Trumpet)\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Mark McKay<\/strong>\u00a0from S3 (Trumpet) were all successful in passing their Grade 1 ABRSM exams with merit.\u00a0<strong>Melissa McQuillan<\/strong>from S3 passed her Grade 3 ABRSM exam for Piano.\u00a0<strong>Laura Hubbard-P\u00e9rez<\/strong>\u00a0(Bassoon) from S2 auditioned and gained a place in the Junior National Youth Orchestra of Scotland. Senior pupils,\u00a0<strong>Magdalena Hubbard-P\u00e9rez<\/strong>\u00a0(Oboe) and\u00a0<strong>Jack Mellon<\/strong>\u00a0(Clarinet) both auditioned and were successful in gaining places into The WSSO (West of Scotland Schools Concert Band and Orchestra). Laura, Magdalena and Jack took part in a number of concerts with their band\/orchestra and played amazingly well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">All of these achievements could not have been accomplished without the hard work and dedication from all of these pupils.
