{"id":1704,"date":"2018-05-18T13:39:04","date_gmt":"2018-05-18T13:39:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/olhscumbernauld\/?p=1704"},"modified":"2018-05-18T13:39:04","modified_gmt":"2018-05-18T13:39:04","slug":"s3-hospitality-butchery-and-beyond-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/olhscumbernauld\/2018\/05\/18\/s3-hospitality-butchery-and-beyond-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"S3 Hospitality Butchery and Beyond Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">S3 Hospitality Butchery and Beyond Competition<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">Working in partnership with FDF (Food and Drink Federation) Scotland, S Collins and Sons Butchers and Quality Meat Scotland, S3 Hospitality pupils participated in an inter-schools &#8216;Butchery and Beyond&#8217; competition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">The aim was to improve their understanding of job and career opportunities available in the food and drink sector, and skills required by employers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">Pupils were asked to develop a new street food using meat provided by Collins&#8217; butchers. The winning group from OLHS, Tea Boyd,\u00a0Elise Congalton, Megan MacCrimmon and Ciaran MacIntyre, designed a recipe called &#8216;Spicy Pork Pinwheels&#8217; with sweet chilli sauce.
