\"\"As the conclave begins today, Wednesday 7th May, Cathedral school community joins with the Church around the world in praying for the cardinals, that they will be guided by the Holy Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Holy God,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We pray for the cardinals<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

as they gather to elect a new Pope,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

that they may be open to the Holy Spirit<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

and filled with wisdom and courage.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

May the Shepherd they choose<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

be a builder of bridges,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

a witness to the dignity of all people,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

a steward of the precious gift of the earth,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

who will lead all your people<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

to bring to life your love and justice.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Through Christ our Lord,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Amen.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
