{"id":6076,"date":"2024-08-22T19:27:14","date_gmt":"2024-08-22T19:27:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/olga\/?p=6076"},"modified":"2024-08-23T15:57:21","modified_gmt":"2024-08-23T15:57:21","slug":"junior-chaplaincy-team-gather-for-first-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/olga\/2024\/08\/22\/junior-chaplaincy-team-gather-for-first-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Junior Chaplaincy Team gather for first meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6001\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/olga\/files\/2024\/08\/IMG_5007-1024x543.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"329\" \/>Priority 2 in this year&#8217;s Annual Improvement Plan is: <em>&#8216;Improve the quality and increase the impact of Religious Education RC across all stages through a systematic and active review of the ten characteristics in the Charter for Catholic Schools in Scotland.&#8217;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A vital way our school community will take forward this aspect of our Improvement Plan is by adopting a more formal approach to pupils<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-6080\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/olga\/files\/2024\/08\/pupil-chaplain-badge-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"151\" height=\"151\" \/> promoting and leading the Catholic dimension of our school which, as outlined in Cathedral&#8217;s mission statement, places Christ and Our Lady at the centre.<\/p>\n<p>Following the submission of applications from Primary 5 &#8211; 7 pupils, a Junior Chaplaincy Team (known as IGNITE) has been established and our sixteen new Pupil Chaplains met for the first time on Friday 23rd August. The team&#8217;s mission, under the leadership of Mrs Carroll, is to spark faith and devotion in both pupils and staff.
