\"\"Cathedral\u2019s annual football awards ceremony took place on Wednesday 12th June. Resident\"\" coach, Willie McBirnie, led the proceedings and this year\u2019s guest speaker was John McLaughlan, former Hamilton Accies player and current coach and Development Officer with Hearts. John spoke about the qualities clubs look for in their young players.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year’s ACE (Attitude, Commitment and Effort) footballers were as follows:<\/p>\n

Primary 5<\/strong>: Eva Mills and <\/span>Ruadhan McPollin<\/span><\/p>\n

Primary 6<\/strong>: Zara Banks and Harry O’Connor \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Primary 7<\/strong>: Sophie Lafferty and <\/span>Matthew Carroll\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Ace Trophy<\/strong> for outstanding sportsmanship was awarded to Luke Buchanan.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
