Week Ahead

It is anticipated that all North Lanarkshire schools will be open tomorrow. The main paths and entrances around the school have been cleared. It is still very cold, might be useful to pack an extra pair of socks in school bags tomorrow. Definitely a day to be wrapped up warm. Looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing all your snow day stories!

Fit Start Breakfast Club is cancelled tomorrow morning but will hopefully resume on Tuesday. Don’t forget we have our Open Hour on Thursday at 9.15am, come along and learn more about Mental Agility.

World Book Day has been rescheduled for Friday 9th March. Same arrangements as before – see General Letters.

Menu – there may be a slight change to the school menu to due deliveries and adverse weather but we will keep you posted. Parent Council meeting will go ahead as planned tomorrow at 6pm, all welcome.

Learn More About Literacy – Wednesday 8th February 4pm – 5pm

We are hosting an informal open hour on Wednesday 8th February between 4pm – 5pm, for parents, to learn more about literacy. During this time, staff will be available to talk to you about how we teach spelling, phonics, reading, writing, talking and listening, and to  give advice on how you can support this at home. We will also be joined by Speech and Language Therapist who are supporting schools throughout North Lanarkshire, to raise attainment in literacy.

All children have been issued with a letter. Please let us know if you can attend by telephoning the school or by returning the tear off slip.

Letter issued here: Literacy Workshop

Looking forward to seeing you there
