Due to the adverse weather conditions, the Mock Court experience at Stirling Sherif Court has been rescheduled to the 31st of January. The children will remain in school from 3pm, and then transported by bus to the court, please bring a snack. We will issue an estimated time of arrival back at Noble nearer the time. 

We are looking forward to our Scottish Disco this week, organised by our Parent Council. Details below. Extra copies of the tear off slip can be printed from the General Letters section of the website.

P7 will meet Mrs Malcolmson at Bellshill Academy on Monday morning as part of the CSI transition event. See General Letters for a reminder of the arrangements.

Remember it’s Christmas Lunch on Friday 8th December.

Children can wear something red or a Christmas jumper as part of the dress down day.

Please find attached further information about new  National Standardised Assessments for P1, P4 and P7 pupils. This will be implemented this session.

Assessing Children’s Progress Parent Leaflet

• Every child in P1, P4, P7 and S3 will undertake national standardised assessments covering some aspects of reading, writing and working with numbers
• Assessments will be completed online and will be automatically marked by the online system, giving teachers immediate feedback to help children progress
• The assessments will be used to help teachers understand how well your child is progressing with his or her learning and to plan next steps. There will be no pass or fail.
• The system will be designed so that if a child is struggling with the questions they will get easier, and if a child is doing well the questions will become more challenging.
• The standardised assessments will be as short as possible and will be age and stage appropriate.
• Your child will not be expected to take assessments covering reading, writing and working with numbers in one sitting.
• There will be no set day or period of time during which the national standardised assessments must be taken. Teachers, in consultation with schools and local authorities will decide the most appropriate time during the school year for your child to take the national standardised assessments.
• The assessments will, as far as possible, accommodate the needs of children who require additional support.

A special thanks to Primary 5 pupils for leading our Harvest Celebration on Thursday 26th of October. We  had a fantastic response to our Basics Foodbank Lanarkshire appeal. Thank you for your kind generosity. Some of the children will visit the Foodbank in the next few weeks to learn more about the work they do to support the local community.
