Beat the Street is being delivered on behalf of the National Charity Partnership \u2013 a collaboration between Diabetes UK, the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and Tesco.\u00a0\u00a0 The competition will run in North Lanarkshire from 20 April \u2013 01 June 2016.\u00a0\u00a0 People score points and win prizes by walking, cycling or running from point to point and tapping a registered and activated Beat the Street RFID (Radio Frequency ID) card or Fob on sensors (Beat Boxes) which are placed on lamp posts across the dedicated routes where the game is being played.\u00a0\u00a0 A player taps their Beat the Street card or fob at various points on their way to and from work, school and to the shops.\u00a0\u00a0 Registered players can win regular spot prizes for a \u2018lucky tap\u2019 on a Beat Box. To be eligible to win a prize, players must be registered.\u00a0\u00a0 The more Beat Boxes you tap, the further you travel and the greater your chance of winning a prize.\u00a0\u00a0 Players can also join teams by choosing from the list on the registration page.\u00a0\u00a0 There are lots of prizes up for grabs for individuals and teams taking part in Beat the Street.Weekly lucky tap prizes include \u00a325 Decathlon vouchers.<\/p>\n<p>Leaderboards- \u00a0 We have 2 leaderboards: Total Points &amp; Average Points.<\/p>\n<p>For each of these leaderboards there will be 3 cascading prizes as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1st place \u00a31000 of Decathlon vouchers<br \/>\n\u2022 2nd place \u00a3500 of Decathlon vouchers<br \/>\n\u2022 3rd place \u00a3250 of Decathlon vouchers<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Click here- Support our School- Beat the Street &nbsp; Beat the Street is a real life walking, cycling and running game for a whole community.
