Working together to promote positive behaviour:

Through promoting positive behaviour we expect children to:

  • Develop understanding of the need for rules.
  • Develop themselves as individuals.
  • Take more responsibility for their own behaviour.
  • Develop their social skills.
  • Learn to treat others as they would wish to be treated.

Pupil Folders:

Within the playroom a folder on each child is kept containing progressive work they have completed throughout the year. Outside the nursery there are displays and photographs of experiences the children have taken part in.

Parent meetings:

All parent/carers are invited to the nursery twice a year to discuss their child’s progress with their key worker and a written profile report will be given in May/June. All parent/carers are welcome to discuss their child’s progress informally on a daily basis with a member of staff.

Newsletters:

A monthly newsletter is produced containing all the nursery news and details of forthcoming events, holidays and in-service days.
