Mrs Mooney, Mrs Maguire and Mrs Reilly lead our Fairtrade Group.
We are currently helping our pupils to understand that the Fairtrade Foundation is a charity who assist millions of farmers and workers in 74 countries, to gain a fair price for their produce, whilst establishing fair working conditions. Farmers are able to trade a variety of products such as coffee, tea, cocoa, gold, cotton, sugar and flowers. By buying Fairtrade products you are helping to provide better lives for communities across the world.
We have are currently working towards our first Fairtrade Schools award.
