We are currently in the midst of a very exciting Eco week, a full week dedicated to Eco, Health and Fairtrade. The whole school has been involved in a variety of exciting activities. We started our week with a lot of our classes braving the weather to upgrade our playground. P3 and P4 worked together to carry out some weeding and planted some very kind donations from parents and ASDA.
Recently, we have been lucky enough to work with Motherwell College. Different classes have worked on different skills like badminton, football and athletics. Every class has really enjoyed working with the students and are hoping to continue practsing their skills as the weeks go on.
P2 were given the opportunity to participate in an exciting day of exercise thanks to Motherwell college. Motherwell college students were their to teach lots of different skills and play lots of fun games. There was a para-shoot, rudgy crash pads, nets, skipping ropes and man other activites. This week was the start of our new cooking club for Primary 7. We had lots of fun learning about the different cutting skills. We practised the claw and bridge chopping techniques when cutting peppers, spring onions and tomatoes. We learnt the safe way to grate cheese and mixed it all together in our potato skins.
