Well boys and girls, I can’t quite believe this is the very last day of Term! What a strange few months it has been and I am sad that we haven’t been able to enjoy more time together in our class. However, I have loved teaching you all, seeing you all try hard and I cannot wait to see all those lovely smiles again in August! Until then I hope you all have a wonderful summer with your families and hopefully seeing your friends again.
Stay safe and look after each other. Love Mrs McAlinden x
I am also attaching details of the Summer Reading Challenge – do your best to take part!
Head Teacher’s Summer Reading Challenge 2020
After the past two years successful events I am delighted to announce this years challenge.
In St Joseph’s Primary School we love reading. During this summer, as most of us will be staying at home there is no better time to transport yourself on an adventure with a good book.
CHALLENGE
Send us a picture of you reading your book/magazine. You can mail this to ht@st-josephs.n-lanark.sch.uk or you can ask an adult to tweet it to us.
JUDGE
We have enrolled the support of a judge from Usborne Books who will select the most original/unusual photo.
PRIZE
There will be two mystery prizes up for grabs. The winners will be able to select a new book which will be donated by Usborne Books as they love the fact that we continue to learn and develop a love of reading during the holidays.
Good luck everyone!
Mr McCloskey
