Hi boys and girls.  Today’s STEM focus is Maths and you will need to use your problem solving skills too!  You will need some matchsticks/cocktail sticks or even some long lego pieces of the same size would do.

Look at this picture below and use your sticks to make it.  Can you change 5 squares in to 4 in only 2 moves?

KS2 British Science Week Maths Activities - Third Space Learning

Let me know how you get on!

For an extra challenge Primary 3, create the square patterns below and try to continue the table.  Can you see a pattern developing?  Can you explain the pattern?

I also have a little grammar game for you. Primary 2 follow this link https://www.roythezebra.com/reading-games/capital-letter-1.html Can you put the capital letters in the correct place?

Primary 3 follow this link & put in the correct punctuation (full stops, commas, question marks etc). https://www.funenglishgames.com/grammargames/punctuation.html

Have a great day everyone!

Mrs McAlinden
