Literacy
Primary One children:
- Look who’s back – it’s Geraldine the giraffe with one of our sounds to practise – q (u)! Can you remember how to say this letter ? Remember ‘q’ has a best friend ‘u’ and they are almost always together.
- Watch the video below of Geraldine saying the sound ‘qu’ and finding words with this sound.
- Can you draw and write four words that begin with or have ‘qu in them?
- ⭐Challenge – Can you write two sentences with a ‘qu’ word in each sentence? ⭐
Primary Two children:
- We are going to revise the ‘oi’ phoneme this week. The video below has both the ‘oi’ and the ‘oy’ phonemes in it, but just focus on the ‘oi’ words today please.
- Can you write all the ‘oi’ words that you know in a phoneme flower?
- Make up 4 sentences with an ‘oi’ word in each sentence please.
- ⭐Challenge – Can you make an ‘oi’ phoneme word search for someone in your family to complete? ⭐

Today we are going to revise how to write the number names to ten.
- Write all the numbers from 0 – 10 and their number names on a piece of paper or in your homework jotter. Get an adult to check them please.

Today we are going to revise how to round numbers to the nearest ten, If you can’t remember how we did this in class, then watch the video below to remind yourself.
