Good morning boys and girls,

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new month, the month of May. One of my favourite months of the year.

Todays tasks:

Task 1 – Dictationย

Ask some one at home to read you the dictated sentence below and you write it. Just like we do in class on a Friday.

Primary 1

We went to get on the red bus.

Primary 2

We could sail the toy boat down the river.

Task 2 – Readingย

Read a book of your choice either one you have at home or one from oxford reading website. Can you pick out any of the common words we have learned over the year, any adjectives and tricky words and write them down? You can use multicolours, different colours for different words or whatever way you would like to record each word.

Task 3 – Maths

Use the website from yesterday again to have another practise at time. Either o’clock, o’clock and half past or challenge yourself to reading quarter past the hour times.

Numberย

Ask someone to test you orally on your number bonds Primary 1 – number bonds to 10 and Primary to number bonds to 20, 30 or 50. Challenge yourself.

Task 4 – May is the month of Mary

During the month of May we celebrate Mary – the mother of Jesus. Say a hail Mary with your family asking Mary to help and guide us through these difficult times. If we were in school we would be creating a lovely May altar to celebrate Mary with flowers and lovely drawings. Create a flower or a drawing of flowers to celebrate the month of May.

Have a great Friday boys and girls. It looks like it will be nice and bright at some stages of today too so make sure you have time outside in the fresh air too.

Missing you all lots and lots!!
