Today we are going to put our knowledge of Scots vocabulary to the test by including it in a poem. Not every word in your poem has to be in old Scots and it doesn’t have to rhyme but it can if you like.

There are a few things to look at before you begin.

Being able to add and subtract decimals will help you when dealing with money, especially if you have to convert pounds and pence.

I’m sure you are all missing your friends right now- I know I am. Today’s task encourages us to think about what makes a good friend and the kind of qualities a good friend has.

Sticking with a Scottish theme in honour or our National Bard I’d like you to put a Scottish twist on an activity we have done before. Remember back to the start of the year when we created some pieces of art by ‘taking our line for a walk’? Well that’s what we’re going today but each section has to be different from the others and must contain something Scottish.

As was the case just before the Christmas holidays, Mr McCloskey was able to hold a virtual assembly for everyone.

Mr McCloskey would like to continue this, as such he will add you to another team. P4 – P7 Assembly and the hope is that this will take place on Mondays at 11am.

You may remember that just before the Christmas holidays the class took part in a Christmas Computer Science webinar and part of that involved a quiz and woohoo we won!

The prize is a £100 Amazon voucher and Mrs Baxter and I are now keen to know your ideas of how this money should be spent. Please email your ideas, put the subject heading ‘Amazon’ on your email and we’ll give all suggestions some serious consideration.
