Today we are looking at subtracting decimals which again is useful when dealing with money. I have included some strategies which you may find useful.

Please continue to use Sumdog daily. It is a great way to practise your skills whilst having fun playing a game. Don’t just think of Sumdog as something to do when you are finished, think if it as one of your tasks to be completed.

Today we are looking at budgeting money. Take care to read the questions carefully. I will post answers this afternoon for you to self correct then show me how you got on.

I’d like to set you a challenge. I’d like you to try to take a really cool photo. It can be of anything you like- the sky, the sunset, the snow, a pet the choice is yours. The more unusual the better is the only rule ( obviously safe and appropriate too!) Here are some great photos I found to give you an example.

Try to do some activity this afternoon. There will be lots of Joe Wicks recording by now so you could take part in one of them. Or why not try a just dance video .I did this with some of the younger children last week and we had great fun. I know how well you can  all dance!  Have fun!

To end the week I would like you to have a go at designing your own tartan.

Tartan is a patterned cloth consisting of criss-crossed, horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours. Tartans originated in woven wool, but now they are made in many other materials. Tartan is particularly associated with Scotland; Scottish kilts almost always have tartan patterns.

What would the important things to mention be? Write out your short narration which would accompany the advert. If you are able to you may like to record a voice clip of you saying your narration.
