New Primary Menu<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cost of a School Meal<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The price of a primary school two-course lunch is now \u00a33.40. <\/span>All meals are served with milk or\u00a0chilled\u00a0water and two portions of vegetables and a portion of fruit daily.\u00a0Pupils can also choose either soup, yoghurt, or home baking\u00a0as indicated on the menu to accompany their meal.<\/span><\/p>\n

A free school meal entitlement is up to the value of the school meal price of \u00a33.40.\u00a0 This includes all pupils from P1-P5 at the moment. Please note that pupils in P6 and P7 must pay for their school dinners. Payments can be made via the iPay Impact site through Parent’s Portal. If you require assistance with this, please contact our school office.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pre -Order Service<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The school will take a pre-order for pupils daily using the Fusion system on the Smartboard.\u00a0 Pupils can select their meal early in the morning and secure their meal of choice, this will then be rung through a till earlier in the day, to deduct the money from the pupils account.\u00a0 \u00a0This will also allow you to see the balance and meal choice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scottish Dietary Goals<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The Scottish Government introduced changes to the Nutritional standards for Food and Drink regulations\u00a0in schools in April 2021. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The changes to the regulations are based on the most up to date scientific evidence on diet and health and are designed to support the health of children and young people in the school setting. The food and drink that is provided across the school day is designed to support progress towards the Scottish Dietary Goals. This will help to ensure that children and young people, especially those receiving free school meals, have access to nutritionally balanced school lunches.<\/span><\/p>\n

Medical and Special Diets<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Please note, if your child has a food allergy or intolerance then you should speak to the Head Teacher\/Catering Manager who will advise on the\u00a0\"word\u00a0Special Diet Procedure [32kb]<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Disclaimer – Any grapes served to a child in Primary 1-3 as part of the school meals service will be halved to reduce the risk of choking.\u00a0 Children from P4-7 will receive whole grapes.\u00a0 Some schools may have to reduce or remove the provision of grapes due to time constraints.<\/span><\/p>\n
