{"id":130,"date":"2015-06-19T09:41:27","date_gmt":"2015-06-19T09:41:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/anntest3\/?page_id=130"},"modified":"2023-03-26T21:23:44","modified_gmt":"2023-03-26T21:23:44","slug":"pupil-council","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/langloanprimary\/pupil-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Pupil Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">An introduction to the Pupil Council,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">We are the Pupil Council and we are a group of children from Primary 1-7.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">We collect ideas from our classes to bring up at meetings <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> and as a group we decide whether or not to promote them. We think that the Pupil Council meetings are successful because they allow us to share ideas as a group on how to improve the school, have a say in a structured environment, to make changes and then evaluate them, improving them if necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">Our ideas have included:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> *House Quiz<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> *Recycling Christmas Cards<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> *Spending Parent Council money<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> *Deciding on House Names<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> *Playground Games<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> *Hygiene in our school<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> *Computers<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">*Toilet improvements<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">We are involved in helping make decisions towards maintaining our ECO status.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">At the start of this school year we voted for one class representative to join the Pupil Council. We then elected<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\">a second representative before Christmas, allowing every class the opportunity to have two representatives. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">Primary 1-7 are involved in monthly meetings which take place in the school.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> An agenda is set, taking ideas from the classes and it is discussed at the meeting.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300\"> The class reps are responsible for giving their class feedback from the meetings and the School Captains and Vice Captains sometimes feedback to the whole school during assemblies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">Below are our Pupil Council Representatives for session 2022-2023<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P1-\u00a0 &amp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P1\/2- Hayley\u00a0 &amp; Harris<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P2\/3-\u00a0 Jason &amp; Sophie<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P3\/4- Eva\u00a0 &amp; Mason<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P4-\u00a0 Evan &amp; Sophia<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P4\/5- Isabella &amp; Alexis<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P5- Sam &amp; Georgia<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P6- Aaron &amp; Ranim<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">P7- Zoe &amp; Ben<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">School House Captains<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #993300\">School Vice Captains<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An introduction to the Pupil Council, We are the Pupil Council and we are a group of children from Primary 1-7.
