Ladywell Primary School P2b 2015-16

We learned how to give CPR today.

We are able to perform chest compressions and know how to give rescue breaths.

Today we joined P2a and revised the numbers to 10 in French.

We then learned the numbers 11-20. A song helped up to learn these numbers.

P2b enjoyed practising their French vocabulary and learning some new French phrases. They worked hard to practise simple conversations and greetings in French with their peers. They learned a French song which they performed in the whole school assembly and also took part in some outdoor learning and Eiffel Tower art.

Excellent travail P2b !

P2b made use of iPads to find facts about Siberian Tigers. They then used this information to create their own notes.

P2b worked exceptionally hard to research an endangered animal and create a junk model. They enjoyed discussing their animal facts and showing off their fantastic efforts. Well done everyone!!

On ‘Wear it Wild’ Day we got to dress up as a wild animal which links to our Endangered Animals topic.

We all paid £1 which will go towards P2a and P2b sponsoring a Giant Panda. We can’t wait to get our cuddly toy and Panda Pack.

We had lots of fun and even joined P2a to play some games and dance to great music.

Primary 2 had an amazing day at Edinburgh zoo and the sun was even shining!

We discussed our knowledge of our topic ‘Endangered Animals’ with one of the zoo specialists and managed to view many endangered animals throughout the zoo. We particularly enjoyed seeing the pandas.

Every Friday we walk 2 laps of the school as part of the Active Schools Walk.

We really enjoy it! Especially when the weather is nice.

P2 have enjoyed participating in the ‘Jump Start Jonny’ programme this term and have developed their skills, stamina and technique through structured aerobics activities.

They really enjoyed exercising to ‘We Will Rock You’.
