{"id":116,"date":"2015-09-16T09:22:40","date_gmt":"2015-09-16T09:22:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/knowetop\/?page_id=116"},"modified":"2023-10-10T15:56:49","modified_gmt":"2023-10-10T15:56:49","slug":"classes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/knowetop\/classes\/","title":{"rendered":"Communication"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center\"><\/h1>\n<p>As a large school, we use various channels of communication to keep our families and school community up to date.\u00a0 Please see below for how we use each method.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Email<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Newsletters and key information to parents and carers is always emailed from the school through Groupcall.\u00a0 It is essential that if any parent\/ carer changes their email address that they let the school know by contacting the office.\u00a0 You can also email the school with any queries on the following email address &#8211; <strong>Enquiries-at-knowetop@northlan.org.uk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Twitter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We celebrate our news and pupil achievements regularly through our Twitter feed.\u00a0 We aim to have one post per class weekly and parents\/ carers can decide at any time if they want their child to be on our school Twitter page.\u00a0 Please click on the image below to view our Twitter page.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/knowetopprimary\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2545\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/knowetop\/files\/2022\/02\/twitterpic-300x273.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"273\" \/><\/a><strong>Microsoft Teams<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since March 2020 we have been using Teams successfully with our pupils.\u00a0 Through lockdowns we used this to provide home learning and, as both staff and pupils have upskilled in this area, we are continuing to use for homework.\u00a0 Homework is uploaded weekly onto the class Teams page and any questions\/ queries can be asked on the page.\u00a0 Some teachers also choose to use this site to upload additional photos from classroom experiences.\u00a0 You will need your child&#8217;s login details to access this and these will be provided annually at the beginning of each session.\u00a0 If details become lost then please contact the school office and we will get them sent to you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parents Portal\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Parents Portal is a system that is used throughout Scotland and we are currently trying to get all our parents\/ carers to sign up which we hope will eventually overtake a lot of our communications.\u00a0 It is a one stop shop for all information needed and please see the link below for additional guidance on setting this up.\u00a0 We are having issues getting all parents access to this as details that you register with need to be exactly the same as the details you have registered on our system.\u00a0 We will keep working our way through this and hopefully this will be used effectively in future.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/itsc\/parents-portal\/\">Parents Portal<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Parent Council Facebook<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are fortunate to have a very proactive Parent Council and you can keep up to date with all the excellent work they do through their Facebook page on the following link.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/m.facebook.com\/KnowetopPC\">http:\/\/m.facebook.com\/KnowetopPC<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a large school, we use various channels of communication to keep our families and school community up to date.\u00a0 Please see below for how we use each method.
