Welcome back to all our returning pupils and a huge welcome to all families who are starting their journey with us.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Each Friday I try to give you an update on our weekly newsletter which is posted here, on the school website.\u00a0 Links are usually sent out by email and posted on Twitter (X) too to ensure no one misses it.<\/p>\n

LUNCHES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Next week we will be on the Week 2 menu<\/strong> in both the school and nursery.\u00a0 If your child is in Primary 1, you may wish to send in a wee note if\u00a0 you want to suggest what they are likely to eat at lunchtime.\u00a0 Pupils in the SCHOOL<\/strong> may bring in their own packed lunch, if they prefer.\u00a0 Pupils in P.1-5 will receive a free lunch as part of the universal offer, but P. 6 & 7 pupils must pay for their lunch, unless you have applied for free meals.\u00a0 All money should be added to pupils’ own on-line accounts using the iPayImpact system.<\/p>\n

ATTENDANCE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Please ensure your child is at school every day that they are well.\u00a0 Every school day really does count and we want to make sure we are providing your child with the best possible education.\u00a0 If your child is ill, please phone the school office on the first morning of their absence.\u00a0 The school office opens at 8.30am daily.<\/p>\n

This has been shared with you in various ways over the past few days.\u00a0 Please keep this handy in the coming months.\u00a0 We are aware some dates are most likely to change, but we will update you of any alterations as soon as we can.<\/p>\n

Calendar of events 2023\/24<\/a><\/p>\n

MEET THE TEACHER<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We look forward to welcoming you to visit\u00a0 your child’s class after school on Wednesday 23rd August<\/strong>.\u00a0 All pupils will be dismissed as usual at 3pm, then as quickly as we can we will open the doors to let all families back in to class.\u00a0 Classes will remain open for around 30 minutes.\u00a0 If you have more than one child simply move between the rooms when you want.\u00a0 Your child will be your guide!<\/p>\n

PANTOMIME 2023<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Letters have been sent home regarding our proposed Panto visit in December.\u00a0 We are heading to Motherwell to see Jack and the Beanstalk.\u00a0 I know it seems very early to be talking about this, but tickets will need to be paid in full by 15th September.\u00a0 If you missed the letter, you can download another copy here: \u00a0Panto 2023<\/a><\/p>\n

PARENT COUNCIL<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Our next Parent Council meeting will be held on Monday 4th September.\u00a0 \u00a0This is a virtual meeting, held on WebEx at 7pm.\u00a0 If you would like to join the meeting, please notify the school office or a member of the Parent Council and you will be sent a link nearer the time.<\/p>\n

PHOTOGRAPHS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Our school photographer will be in school on 4th and 5th September. Look out for a letter explaining how this will be organised next week.<\/p>\n

NURSERY FUND<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A letter went home this week reminding all families of the nursery fund and how you can contribute to this.\u00a0 In order to ensure we provide a range of snacks, as well as other wee extras, we would appreciate your support in this.<\/p>\n
