OPEN AFTERNOON<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nMany thanks to everyone who joined us for our Health & Wellbeing session yesterday.\u00a0 It was most encouraging to see so many families joining in the learning with us across the school.\u00a0 It is always a pleasure to open our doors and give you a glimpse of your child’s school-day.<\/p>\n

NURSERY PARENTAL CONSULTATION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nWe are looking forward to working with our nursery families this afternoon.\u00a0 All parents and carers are welcome to join us to consider our next steps in Outdoor Learning.\u00a0 Please enter through the main school entrance and meet us in the gym hall at 2pm.<\/p>\n
TRANSITION EVENTS COMING UP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nNext week Mrs McGarry will be visiting many of our partner nurseries to meet our future P.1 pupils while they play and learn.\u00a0 She will get a chance to get to know them a little before they come for a visit to Kirkshaws.<\/p>\n
Pupils from our own nursery class continue to visit the P.1 classroom regularly.\u00a0 This week, some of them also visited us at assembly.\u00a0 Superstars, every one of them!<\/p>\n
Induction visits will take place in Term 4 for all<\/strong><\/span> in our new intake.\u00a0 Please do not worry if you are a placing request to Kirkshaws or attend another nursery…we will not forget you!<\/p>\nP.7 pupils moving to Coatbridge High School will also have the chance to work with some of their new teachers on Tuesday of next week, when they take part in a PE event involving many of the local primary schools.\u00a0 Sounds like fun!<\/p>\n
In addition, we are also sending a team of Basketball players to Coatbridge High next Friday for a festival.\u00a0 I am sure they will all be super ambassadors for Kirkshaws!<\/p>\n
Parents are reminded that the Coatbridge High visit planned for yesterday has been postponed until next Thursday afternoon from 4pm-5pm.\u00a0 Once again, please accept our apologies for the short notice of this change of date.<\/p>\n
DANCE FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nNext Wednesday Miss Curley will be accompanying a group of dancers to Bellshill to take part in a dance qualifier.\u00a0 This group have devised their own routine and have been practising tirelessly in their own time.\u00a0 Huge thanks too to Miss Curley and Mr Gall who have been supporting them in this learning experience.\u00a0 Good luck to you all!<\/p>\n
HOLIDAY REMINDER<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nRemember, school stops for the Easter holidays on Friday 31st March at 2.30pm.\u00a0 Staff will accommodate any nursery pupils who need to leave a little earlier that day.<\/p>\n
