TRANSITION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This week all P.7 pupils should have brought home the latest Transition Newsletter from Coatbridge High School.\u00a0 Please read this carefully and keep it handy as it carries important information, including the planned information evening in October.<\/p>\n

CHS MATHS CHALLENGE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We are looking forward to seeing a team of 4 young mathematicians going to represent Kirkshaws at an inter-school competition next week.\u00a0 We know that no matter the result, they will be super ambassadors for our school.<\/p>\n

NURSERY OPEN DOORS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Next week our nursery pupils will welcome family members to stay and play for our next set of Open Sessions.\u00a0 As next week is Maths Week Scotland, there will be a maths and numeracy focus.\u00a0 Different groups will be invited on different days to ensure it doesn’t get too busy.<\/p>\n

HALLOWE’EN PLANS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This year we plan to reintroduce our popular Hallowe’en Parade.\u00a0 There will be\u00a0 slight change of plan this year to allow our P.7 pupils to take part in their music lesson with ReelTime Music.\u00a0 We are inviting any pupils who wish to dress up to come ready for our Fancy Dress Parade in the MORNING of 31st October.\u00a0 Please ensure your child is able to go to the toilet independently while dressed up.\u00a0 Some costumes are not school-friendly in that way.<\/p>\n

In addition, our Parent Council are planning a Hallowe’en Disco Night on 27th October – more details coming soon!<\/p>\n

YELLOW LINES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I have received more information from the parking enforcement service about the new yellow lines that were drawn outside the school during the summer.\u00a0 I have been told that no vehicle should be parked on these lines and they should be kept clear at all times.\u00a0 Parking on these lines could result in the driver being issued with an instant penalty charge notice (PCN).<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you to everyone who continues to work with us to keep all our families safe on their journeys to and from school.<\/p>\n
