{"id":7150,"date":"2022-06-17T12:08:44","date_gmt":"2022-06-17T12:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/kirkshawswebsite\/?p=7150"},"modified":"2022-06-17T12:08:44","modified_gmt":"2022-06-17T12:08:44","slug":"mrs-ns-notes-17-6-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/kirkshawswebsite\/2022\/06\/17\/mrs-ns-notes-17-6-22\/","title":{"rendered":"Mrs N&#8217;s Notes, 17.6.22"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/kirkshawswebsite\/files\/2022\/05\/school-menu-week-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7042\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/kirkshawswebsite\/files\/2022\/05\/school-menu-week-3-300x286.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"286\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/kirkshawswebsite\/files\/2022\/05\/nursery-week-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7039\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/kirkshawswebsite\/files\/2022\/05\/nursery-week-3-300x238.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"238\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Week 3 menus<\/strong><\/span> coming up.\u00a0 Please remember that P.6 &amp; 7 pupils should add funds to their lunch card BEFORE\u00a0 ordering food.\u00a0 If you forget, your child will still be fed but they will come home with a note of money owed.\u00a0 This should be paid as soon as possible.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>PLAYGROUND SAFETY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please remember that we have a few rules we ask all adults to stick to in and around our school grounds to keep your child safe:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No dogs should be brought into school grounds.<\/li>\n<li>In line with all NLC properties, there is no smoking or vaping allowed in school grounds.<\/li>\n<li>Adults should not come into playgrounds in the morning before school.\u00a0 School staff will ensure the wellbeing of children at this time.<\/li>\n<li>Playgrounds open at 8.45am when school staff start work.\u00a0 If your child needs to come earlier than this, they are welcome to attend Breakfast Club in the dinner hall.<\/li>\n<li>Please avoid parking or dropping off in the staff car park or zigzag yellow lines.<\/li>\n<li>Please park legally, a short distance from the school gates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you for your help in working together for the wellbeing of all our pupils.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>SPORTS DAY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Many thanks for all the supporters who came to cheer on our upper school athletes at Sports&#8217; Day this week.\u00a0 Once again, we can&#8217;t thank Mr Sharp enough for his enthusiasm, skill and passion for learning that drove us all to ensure everyone had a ball!\u00a0 Scottish weather will not beat us!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>TRANSITION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Transition activities continue as we look ahead to the new school session.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nursery Induction visits took place this week, with new and familiar families coming to explore our playrooms.\u00a0 Thank you to everyone who took part.<\/li>\n<li>Nursery visits continue, with school staff getting to know our new P.1 pupils even better before the summer break.<\/li>\n<li>As we finalise classes for next year, we are looking forward to sharing new class information with you on Monday.\u00a0 All pupils will also get the chance to move to their new classrooms and spend time with their new classmates and teachers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>NURSERY GRADUATION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Our Nursery Graduations take place next week, with families being invited to join us on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
