Looking ahead to next week, we have Week 2 Menus, with a special Theme Day on Thursday<\/strong><\/span>!\u00a0 The theme is ACTIVE LIFE DAY<\/strong><\/span>, with the following selection to choose from:<\/p>\n

CHANGES AHEAD!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

All families should have received an email this week, detailing our plans to revert to a basic 9am-3pm school day.\u00a0 From Monday we will have no staggered breaks and all gates will be open at the beginning and end of the day.\u00a0 We would ask that adults do not come into the playground before school, but you are welcome to wait in the playground from 2.50pm to collect your child at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

At the moment, there are no changes to the nursery times or routines.<\/p>\n

NURSERY SPONSOR<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Our nursery pupils are taking part in a sponsored event next week to help boost our funds in Term 4.\u00a0 Information letters will be coming home to all families today<\/p>\n

DENTAL HEALTH<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We are delighted that we have now been able to restart our toothbrushing programme in our nursery and infant classes.\u00a0 All pupils have their own toothbrush and have the opportunity to clean their teeth after lunch each day.<\/p>\n

In addition, we are looking forward to welcoming Child Smile in to visit our Nursery to P.4 pupils next Monday.<\/p>\n

PARENT COUNCIL<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Our Parent Council will meet on Monday 25th April at 7pm using WebEx (video conferencing app).\u00a0 If you would like to join the meeting, please contact the school office or Cheryl Grant (Chairperson) and you will be sent a link via email.<\/p>\n

We are delighted that our Parent Council are once again organising Leavers’ Hoodies for our P.7 pupils.\u00a0 Please check all school bags for order forms today.<\/p>\n

SPORTING EVENTS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Next week sees our first Football Festival for 2 years!\u00a0 Mr Gall has selected the team who will take us to Bargeddie on Tuesday after school.\u00a0 We can’t wait to participate with all the Coatbridge Cluster primary schools.<\/p>\n

TRANSITIONS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Mrs McGarry has been in touch with all our feeder nursery schools and she will begin visiting our new P.1 pupils in their current nurseries next week.\u00a0 We have now been given the go-ahead to invite parents into the building, so we will be in touch with all parents next week to share our plans for May and June as we get to know so many new families.<\/p>\n

ASSEMBLIES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
