<\/a><\/p>\nWORKING HARD IN KIRKSHAWS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n It is lovely to see our school coming to life again after the summer holidays.\u00a0 Empty walls are colourful again, jotters are filling up and eager learners are desperate to learn new skills and extend their knowledge of the world.<\/p>\n I know you always enjoyed coming into school to ‘Meet the Teacher’ at this time of year.\u00a0 Unfortunately, for the second year in a row, that won’t be possible due to current restrictions.<\/p>\n But don’t worry – as always, we WILL find a solution to the problem.\u00a0 All classes are working on short videos of their class to share with everyone at home.\u00a0 We are aiming to have these finished over the next two weeks and we will share them on Teams for all our families to enjoy.<\/p>\n PARENTS PORTAL<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Last year we encouraged you to log into our Parents’ Portal.\u00a0 Some families took up this offer, but we know there are many more who haven’t accessed it yet.\u00a0 Click the link to see what services you can access using this free resource:<\/p>\n NLC Parents Portal Info<\/a><\/p>\n PRIMARY 7 OUTDOOR ADVENTURE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Next week our Primary 7 pupils are off on an outdoor learning activity week, organised by Active Schools.\u00a0 This week of adventure is held at Strathclyde Park, with the pupils attending each day.\u00a0 Here’s hoping for some decent weather!<\/p>\n All P.7 pupils are reminded to make sure they are in school on time every day next week<\/span><\/strong> – we don’t want anyone missing the bus!\u00a0 Remember to check the notes Mr Gall sent home after your meeting this week: old clothes are the order of the day.\u00a0 No good school uniforms next week, P.7!<\/p>\n NURSERY UPDATE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n All Children’s Profiles will be sent home in the coming weeks for parents and carers to consult with us on target setting.\u00a0 Your child’s Key Worker will have set initial targets and will welcome your input.\u00a0 \u00a0Your child’s Key Worker will speak to you when it is time to take the Profile home.<\/p>\n LOST PROPERTY!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Please remember to check your child’s name is on all items of clothing, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc.\u00a0 We have a pile of lost items already building up, with no names to help us find their owners.\u00a0 P.1-3 parents should check the photo below…if anything here looks familiar, pop into the school office to collect it next week.<\/p>\n PARENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Many thanks to those who have already completed the questionnaire I posted last week.\u00a0 If you haven’t yet had the chance, it will stay open for one more week.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
