What a busy week we have had…and as you can see from the photos above, our P.7 pupils just didn’t stop having fun!<\/p>\n
However, they weren’t the only ones.\u00a0 The week started with our Nursery Graduation.\u00a0 What stars our youngest learners are!! Huge thanks must be given to all of the nursery staff and Mr Sharp who worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was given the opportunity to perform and\u00a0 be recorded for your personal memory box!\u00a0 It was a joy seeing such fabulous rainbow clothes on the day.\u00a0 Many thanks to all our families for your support in this.<\/p>\n
STAFFING UPDATE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n A few things have changed since my last update on Friday.\u00a0 We are delighted to announce that Miss Rae will be staying with us for another year, teaching in Room 15, P.6\/5 from August.\u00a0 In addition, Miss Curley and Miss Reid will also remain in Kirkshaws.\u00a0 Miss Curley will start off the year team-teaching with Mrs Canning.\u00a0 In this way, when Mrs Canning begins her Maternity Leave, the class will have continuity with Miss Curley continuing as one of their teachers.<\/p>\n We also have a further change in the nursery.\u00a0 Miss Bradley will be moving on to a new post and we wish her well in this important step in her career.<\/p>\n AUGUST PLANS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Full plans for our return in August were attached to your ‘new class’ letter.\u00a0 Please keep these handy in the new session.<\/p>\n EMAIL CHANGES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n At the end of June all school staff will move to using their Glow email only.\u00a0 The @kirkshaws.n-lanark<\/span> email addresses will no longer be in operation.<\/p>\n SCHOOL UNIFORM INCLUDING PE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Many thanks to those of you who read our Poverty Proofing Policy which was created this session. As a result of this, we have reviewed our Uniform Policy.\u00a0 As before, we will continue to encourage pupils to wear our school colours of NAVY AND GOLD<\/strong><\/span> with a WHITE SHIRT<\/strong><\/span> when wearing a tie.<\/p>\n In addition, we would like to encourage SCHOOL POLO SHIRTS<\/strong><\/span>, or a PLAIN GOLD\/YELLOW t-shirt or PLAIN WHITE t-shirt for PE.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 NAVY or BLACK shorts, leggings or jogging trousers<\/strong><\/span> should also be worn.\u00a0 We would like to move away from expensive branded sportswear.\u00a0 Please keep this in mind when buying new uniforms for the new session.\u00a0 Keep the PE uniform simple.<\/p>\n EQUIPMENT FOR AUGUST<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n At this point, we expect pupils will be able to bring their own school bag, lunch box, water bottle, pencil case, etc to school in August.\u00a0 Please remember FOOTBALL COLOURS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY NLC SCHOOL<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 This is not just clothing, but includes any branded merchandise.\u00a0 Please keep this in mind when preparing for the new school term.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Finally, can I thank everyone for their support over the past months.\u00a0 Enjoy your summer and we will see you all back here on Monday 16th August, when school, nursery and breakfast club will all start at the usual times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What a busy week we have had…and as you can see from the photos above, our P.7 pupils just didn’t stop having fun!
