It was a wet and windy day. \u00a0Kirkshaws Primary were playing ST Bartholomews. \u00a0When the game started Kirkshaws got 2 early goals to put us in the lead. \u00a0St Bartholomews got a goal back to make it 2-1 at half-time.<\/p>\n
When the second have started the flood lights came on and the ball got slippery then the captain Ross Mclellan scored a beautiful goal from 30 yards out! \u00a0It hit the crossbar and went in. \u00a0St Bartholomews pulled two goals back and then took the lead for the first time to make it 4-3. \u00a0Then Kirkshaws pulled a goal back with a stunning penalty kick. \u00a0As the final whistle approached we had a chance through on goal but their keeper saved the ball and put it out for a corner. \u00a0Then came the moment of the game…Graeme Mitchell floated a lovely cross over the keeper’s head and straight onto Connor Mitchell’s head. \u00a0Time stood still! \u00a0The crowd held their breath. \u00a0The ball flew into the net and Kirkshaws won the game 5-4.<\/p>\n
The win puts us on 4 points and near the top of the league.<\/p>\n
