{"id":3389,"date":"2019-01-11T20:34:48","date_gmt":"2019-01-11T20:34:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/kirkshawswebsite\/?p=3389"},"modified":"2019-01-11T20:34:48","modified_gmt":"2019-01-11T20:34:48","slug":"mrs-ns-notes-11th-january","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/kirkshawswebsite\/2019\/01\/11\/mrs-ns-notes-11th-january\/","title":{"rendered":"Mrs N&#8217;s Notes ~ 11th January"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year!\u00a0 I hope you had a relaxing break.\u00a0 We have started the new term with enthusiasm and many exciting plans for the coming months.\u00a0 We have enjoyed getting back into a routine this week, catching up on all the holiday news.<\/p>\n<p>I have also been out of school three times this week.\u00a0 I know it can be confusing at times when you are told the Head Teacher is out of the building.\u00a0 The general feeling can often be that this shouldn&#8217;t happen; that I shouldn&#8217;t leave the premises during the school day.\u00a0 However, the reality is that there are times I need to work in partnership with others in order to best meet the needs of our school and the individual families I serve.\u00a0 On some occasions this means working elsewhere with other professionals from education or other services.<\/p>\n<p>We are committed to <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Getting it Right for Every Child<\/span>.\u00a0 At times this means considering <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">UNIVERSAL<\/span> changes that will improve the learning experience of all pupils.\u00a0 Today I have been working alongside Head Teachers from all North Lanarkshire establishments as well as senior officers from across the council.\u00a0 There are many positive plans afoot to improve quality of life across the authority.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ff9900\">Education &amp; Families<\/span> plays a vital part in this and the Kirkshaws community will benefit as this vision becomes a reality over the coming years.\u00a0 However, we don&#8217;t need to wait years to see positive changes: the change started today with more cluster working taking place.\u00a0 All the primary schools associated with Coatbridge High School are committed to increasing collaborative practices in order to enhance the learning experiences of all.<\/p>\n<p>At other times support requires to be <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">TARGETED<\/span> or <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">INTENSIVE<\/span> for a specific group or an individual.\u00a0 My other meetings this week fell into these categories.\u00a0 To best meet the academic of health &amp; wellbeing needs of individuals we cannot always work in isolation.\u00a0 Planning meetings with other professionals are vital to ensure we get it right for each pupil at the right time.<\/p>\n<p>The bulk of my daily work will always involve working directly with our pupils and their families here in school, but the next time you hear I am not on the premises, please be assured I am aiming to get it right for your child.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year!\u00a0 I hope you had a relaxing break.\u00a0 We have started the new term with enthusiasm and many exciting plans for the coming months.\u00a0 We have enjoyed getting back into a routine this week, catching up on all the holiday news.
