Pupils are introduced to the importance and impact of the expansion in the Hospitality Industry.\u00a0\u00a0In practical cookery there is an emphasis on the Safety and Hygiene issues in both Hospitality Industry and the home.<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>Assessment from S1 \u2013S3<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\nThis takes the form of:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500\">Practical skills observational checklists<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500\">Peer and Self\u00a0\u00a0Assessment<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500\">End of unit tests<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500\">Cooperative tasks allow for formative assessment by the teacher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Broad General Education Home Economics is a valuable and important subject which gives young people a variety of essential life skills which will be useful for a whole range of employment and life opportunities.
