As part of the Social Subjects course in S2 we study two Geography Units:
Unit 1 Earthforces: We gain a background knowledge of the layers of the earth before we apply them to the case studies of earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis.
Unit 2 Extreme Environments: where we look at the rainforest, hot desert and the tundra. Pupils will explore each environment and look at the climate, vegetation, people or wildlife who live there and talk about the problems, impacts and solutions of human developments in these areas.
