This will be split into 1 period of Business Education and 1 period of Computing Science.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>S2 Business Education Course<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Topics studied:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Word Processing\/DTP<\/li>\n<li>Spreadsheets<\/li>\n<li>Databases<\/li>\n<li>Accounting (Income Statement and Statement of Financial Position)<\/li>\n<li>Band on Tour Project, all the the tasks required to put a band on tour (eg research, booking venues, designing tickets, database, spreadsheet, charting)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>S2 Computing Science Course<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Topics studied:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer Architecture ( types of computers, input\/output\/backing storage devices)<\/li>\n<li>Data Representation (Basic Binary)<\/li>\n<li>Software Development using Scratch Software<\/li>\n<li>Web Development using Dreamweaver.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>As part of S3 Personalisation and Choice pupils will have the option to opt to study Administration and IT, Business Management and\/or Computing Science.
