School Captains and House Captains<\/u><\/strong>
\nA number of our S6 pupils braved a very challenging selection process involving a panel interview and a presentation to pupils from across all year groups, to become our new school Captaincy team for the session.\u00a0 This team is responsible for leading our wider team of prefects, and organising and supporting a number of school events throughout the year.\u00a0 The successful candidates are:

Vice-Captains 2019\/20<\/u><\/strong> \u2013 Eilidh McDowall, Zoe Rutherford and Robert Beveridge<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We are also delighted to announce our house captaincy teams for the coming session.\u00a0 Thanks to all pupils who put themselves forward for the role of house captain and congratulations to our successful pupils who are:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>Primary Open Evening<\/u><\/strong>
\nOur annual open information evening for pupils and parents in P5, 6 & 7 from our cluster primary schools will take place on Tuesday 1 October 2019 from 6.30pm.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity for future pupils and parents to visit the school, find out more about us and explore our facilities, meeting teachers and current pupils.\u00a0 This is a very popular event and we hope to see as many future Kilsyth Academy pupils as possible.\u00a0 Further information will be available on our web-site and issued to parents by our cluster primary schools.<\/p>\n

Library news<\/u><\/strong>
\nOur library is open to pupils at lunch-time from Monday to Wednesday for personal reading, writing, drawing, board games, homework, study and research.\u00a0 On Thursday\u2019s its book club so enjoy the peace and quiet, bring a book and get reading.\u00a0 Pupils from S1 to S4 who intent to use the library should collect a pass from the librarian, Mrs Smith, in the morning before school or at morning interval.<\/p>\n
