Kilbowie

Hi it’s Karrie and today my group (group 8) went walking the in the morning and before dinner we went to safari.

During walking we started to climb up the mountains, explore the views and look where paths lead. It was quite muddy so everyone kept falling in the mud. The wind was blowing in all directions and we almost got blown off our feet! The instructor lead us up the waterfall and we had to put our feet left then right.

We stopped for a moment and had a flapjack, they are biscuits that give us energy made with oats and cyrup. Some of us were so muddy and others werent that bad. At the end we had a chance to slide down the mud slide but I didn’t do it.

After that we had lunch then went to safari, the instructor was so funny and kept on saying ‘surprise’. We learned about animals that were exstinked. We got to feel animal hair and touch real bones, the instructor even let us smell poo from about 6 years ago.

Today was so fun and tomorrow will be as good!

My first few days at Kilbowie

I’m having great fun here at Kilbowie. And surprisingly, I’m getting along with other schools!

My favourite activity so far has been skiing. I kept falling but hey, I’m getting better at it.

I’m in group 8 and the other group leaders are Kira, Karrie, Molly, Shelly, Racheal, James, Kian and Nathan. Our instructor is called Natilie, she is really nice and friendly.

Tomorrow I have gorge walking and I can’t wait. It’s a really muddy activity and Katy, I think that you’ll love it.

Well I’ve got to go for my meatballs and cake now so I’ll see you guys on Friday,

Lots of love,

Amy ( O’Neill that is. ) xxx

P.S. Hang in there Katy I’ll see you on Friday x.

Keeping you up to date

Our aim is to have every child posting on the blog over their stay at Kilbowie.  As we are all in different groups we are in the centre at different times but we are keeping track of who has and hasn’t posted yet, but as long as we maintain internet connection we are on track for all children writing their own post.
