Children In Need 2016

What a fantastic day supporting Children in Need 2016. We had a fun filled spotty themed day to raise money for this charity. All the nursery boys and girls were encouraged to wear spots and join in with our spotty themed activities throughout the session. We had a great time making some yummy biscuits for our snack and enjoyed showing off all our home made spotty t-shirts and official Pudsey merchandise. Big thank you for all your donations for this years Children in Need.

Once again we are supporting Children in Need and this year the nursery are having a ‘wear spots’ theme. Please don’t go to any expense but if your child has any item of clothing with a spot pattern on it they are encouraged to wear it to nursery this Friday.
We have planned some fun spotty activities for all the children to take part in throughout the session.
We will also be collecting £1 donations for this fantastic charity.

Hallowe’en Party- 31st of October 2016

What a fantastic Halloween party at Keir Hardie Nursery Class! We started by having a costume parade and all the children were super excited to show everyone their superb costumes. Everyone enjoyed dancing, Halloween musical bumps, pumpkin carving and we listened to the spooky story of “The Hairy Toe”. After our party games we had a special Halloween snack. Finally, we watched the story we have been learning about “Room on the Broom” and sang some of our Halloween songs.

We all had a great day!

Outdoor Developments

We are going to be developing our outdoor area in nursery. This is going to be huge project to enhance the learning environment for all the children. As a nursery we are eager to find out what your thoughts, feelings and ideas are towards improving the area. Some of the ideas the children have come up with are; mud kitchen, water play and cars/trucks outside. If you have items that you feel would be of benefit and willing to donate it, it would be greatly appreciated it. Eg. Utensils for our kitchen/trucks/old pots and pans, plastic pipes etc.

If you have any skills that you feel may be of benefit or questions please do not hesitate to speak to Miss Fox for further information. Eg. Joiners, painters, labourers.

Thank you for your continued support.
