Fun at Kelburn
Gunge the Teacher
All this week the children have been voting for the staff members they would most like to see gunged today. They paid 20p to buy a sticker, which they stuck on a chart below the picture of the person they wanted to see covered in gunge. They voted in their droves and raised £100 for the P7 prom and school funds. Mrs Hepburn was the clear winner and voting for her had to be stopped by Wednesday so the pupils could decide who would be the second victim of the gunging. It was a close contest, but Mrs Doris narrowly took the lead when voting closed last night. Everyone had lots of fun watching each class representative pouring the gunge over their chosen victim. Both ladies were super sports and left school smelling strangely of custard!!!!
Farewell to the Fabulous Three
This morning we held a very special assembly to say goodbye to three well loved staff members who are hanging up their school shoes next week when they retire. We celebrated all the hard work put in by Mr Kennedy, Mrs Doris and Mrs Graham, as each class did their own special performance for them. There were lots of laughs and plenty of tears as we shared our special memories through, sketches, stories, poems and songs. Mrs Graham also treated everyone to a poem she had written in thanks. We wish them all the very best in the next stage of their lives and hope they know that we will all miss them very much.
Just Call Me The Pied Piper!
The children in Primaries 5, 6 and 7 have been really busy rehearsing for their senior show, “Just Call Me The Pied Piper”. They had their dress rehearsal this morning and are all set to impress their friends and families when they take to the stage again tonight and tomorrow for their actual performances.
