The cast and crew of the “The Bravest Rescue”, the film produced by our four local secondary schools about the life of Willie Angus VC, had their work recognised in the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 9^th January. Local MSP, Claire Adamson, organised this event to celebrate the culmination of the Year of Young People and to mark the achievement of the young film-makers.

We got the opportunity to cover the glittering premiere of “The Bravest Rescue” a project honouring not only the centenary of the Armistice AND the year of young people, but also the brave actions of local hero Willie Angus. The film covered Angus’s journey to his brave rescue of fellow Carluke man James Martin. The Cast and crew (mainly pupils) did an excellent job giving an astounding performance.
