~A Christmas Dance to Remember~

Every year S5 come together to celebrate the best night of their year. The Christmas Ceilidh. The 5th years formed a Ceilidh Committee that worked tirelessly to make the night the best their year group have had so far.

All the young people attending were elegantly dressed in glamorous gowns and suits, and sat down in their groups to eat the food that was served to them. They had a little sing-along to “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen and “Dancing Queen” by ABBA while they were eating and our dear Mrs Devlin couldn’t help but join in.  Afterwards, all the pupils shot up to their feet, moving into the hall for some fun Ceilidh dancing that had some girls taking off their heels!

Everyone was spinning around, laughing and dancing to the melody of the instruments and of course we can’t forget about the wonderful teachers who gladly joined in with the Ceilidh dancing too.

Thank you to my fellow journalist, Kenza Mouffok and Miss McGrogan for the photos.

  1. Hi Wiktoria, I have taken the liberty of adding a slideshow of some of the photographs into the blog.
    Hope you like it!
Great article on the night and well done with meeting such a tight deadline!

  2. Great blog on the S5 ceilidh. This is a really special event in the school calendar and I thought that the 2018 ceilidh was the best yet! What a brilliant, fun night. S5 pupils looked truly fantastic and danced the night away from start to finish. Think your piece really captures a wonderful evening!
