JMAC October Highlights!

Well, Halloween is over, October has passed and what a busy month it has been for us!

Here are some of our highlights:

First of all, we had the NET Visit at the start of the month, and what a way to kick the month off it was! S4/5 getting a few days out of class to meet our friends from America who had travelled over to enhance the young peoples faith through a mix of games, prayer and talks.

The NET Team!

Next up the girls from the school were treated to a few periods out of class to try out new sports! The all girls sports day was held in accordance with Active Girls Day on the 5th of October, and everyone who took part certainly seemed to enjoy themselves! The schools CSLA class led the day assisted by our wonderful P.E staff!

Finally on Halloween, we were treated to a brilliant film by the 4 local High Schools about a local man, Willie Angus, who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions in the trenches during World War One. The film was called ‘The Bravest Rescue’ and showed how Willie was willing to give up his own life to save his brother in arms and fellow Carluke man James Martin.
